摘要

Wind-tunnel tests of a 1/5-scale model of a 37.5-ft span single- engined, single-rotation airplane model are described. Results of the tests indicate that the particular arrangement tested did not show marked improvement, although extreme asymmetry to the horizontal tail showed a reduction in power effects on longitudinal stability. Out-of-trim lateral forces and moments of the asymmetrical tail arrangements, that were best from consideration of longitudinal stability, were no greater than those of normal tail arrangement.
