摘要

Tensile properties, maximum underbead hardness, underbead cracking, weldability according to the nickbend specimen, and notch sensitivity as determined by V-notch Charpy bar were the means of evaluating the relative performance of steels in both the as-rolled and normalized conditions. Investigation showed that small variations in amount of titanium or vanadium produced a marked effect on the temperature of transition from ductile to brittle behavior. (Author)
