A detailed description is presented of a new method for computing higher gluonic power corrections to QCD charmonium sum rules. The method is equivalent to using the Schwinger gauge condition (xsup( mu ) - zsub(Q)sup( mu ))Asub( mu )(x) = 0 for vacuum gluons. As an application of the method O(G exp 2 ) and O(G exp 3 ) corrections are calculated. (Atomindex citation 14:770332)
