摘要

An experimental and theoretical investigation of the effects of the chemical reactions due to H2 in the stagnation region on the CO2 - N2 gas dynamic laser performance is presented. As the rate of H2O production depends on the stagnation conditions, it is found that for stagnation temperature of about 1550 K this rate is such that the water production is negligible during the available test time in the shock tube. It is found that the small signal gain in a nozzle flow can be used for evaluation of the energy transfer rates for CO2 laser action. (Author)
