Stream turbulence Effects on the turbulent Profile boundary laver in a Compressor Cascade

The turbulent profile boundary layer on a one-foot chord compressor blade in cascade has been measured under three different levels of free-stream turbulence. Fuller velocity profiles, with a consequent decrease in displacement thickness, increased skin friction, and a decrease in the Coles' velocity profile wake component are found with increasing free-stream turbulence level.
