INVESTIGATION OF THE IONOSPHERIC FARADAY ROTATION FOR USE IN ORBIT CORRECTIONS

The results from the Faraday factor investigation point out the importance for modeling the factors correctly with respect to the station position where the magnetic latitude is of most significance and with respect to the direction of observation, since the elevation and azimuth angles determine the direction at which the magnetic field lines are inter¬sected as well ás the location at which the wave passes through the densest part of the ionosphere.
