Accuracy Analysis for Ionospheric Scintillation Correction with Estimating Faraday Rotation in Spaceborne P-band SAR Data

Spaceborne P-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is affected by scintillation effect, which has a strong impactrnon the imaging quality and relevant applications. Faraday rotation (FR) based correction method is proposed inrnformer research, while the accuracy of this method is not analysed from the point of view of polarimetric errorsrn(including cross-talk and channel imbalance) and system noise. The accuracy for ionospheric scintillationrncorrection with estimating Faraday rotation in spaceborne P-band SAR is quantitatively analysed with ALOSPALSARrndata in this paper. Meanwhile, thresholds of polarimetric errors and system noise are proposed so as tornguarantee the correction accuracy.
