MODIFICATION OF A FINITE ELEMENT PROGRAM TO CONSIDER THE NON-LINEAR MATERIAL BEHAVIOUR OF ORTHOTROPIC LAMINATED STRUCTURES

摘要

A finite element program, BASTS 1, specially designed for analysis of two-dimensional orthotropic structures, was modified and routines were added which take into consideration the non¬linear mechanical behaviour of the material.nThis new program, BASIS PL, is designed for reliable analyses of stresses, strains and deformations, especially in highly loaded laminated fibre reinforced plastic structures subjected to stress redistribution due to anglesite deformations and cracking in the matrix.
