This work deals with the development, production and application of image converters and describes the technological realization of 8n image converter on liquid crystal (LC) base.nIn the introducing chapter the application possibilities of optical and digital-electronical processors are opposed to one another. The principal structure of optical processors, the special structure of a simple optical correlation and the requirements for the system-defining interface components are described. Finally the structure of the realized image converter device is presented.
