The apparatus i.e. Linnik interferometer (1) has a wide spectrum incoherent polychromatic light source block (3), and two dimensional sensor i.e. two dimensional charge coupled device camera (25), connected to a computer (27) for generating an image from captured interference signals. An adaptive optics (28) i.e. deformable mirror, has an image contrast analyzer (30) that is connected to a controller i.e. oscillating plate (19), of the optics for increasing contrast of the image for two measurement zone parts, where a measurement path (13) and a reference path (15) are same for the parts. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for calibrating a wide spectrum incoherent light full-field optical coherence tomography apparatus (2) a computer program product comprising instructions for performing a method for calibrating a wide spectrum incoherent light full-field optical coherence tomography apparatus.
