摘要

The report surveys the present status of Josephson-effect mixers for use I the wavelength range 1mm to 0.1mm.The general context of the work is the need untimely to provide heterodyne receivers for astronomical observations from spacecraft. The work was carried out for ESTEC under contract number 2337/74 PP over a period of about 2 2/1 years from mid-1975. The report was prepared by the Division of Electrical Science at NPL, who also carried out experimental tests described in the report.
