Numerical Solution of the Electric and Magnetic Field Integral Equations

摘要

The currents on the surface of a structure, excited by an electromagnetic wave, are determined by numerical solution of an integral equation for the electric or magnetic field. The integral equation is converted into a linear system of equations with the aid of the method of moments. This system of equations is also obtained by applying the reaction concept. Both methods are treated in detail. Mathematical models for the surface as well as some special numerical procedures are described extensively. Special attention is paid to the problem of minimizing computer storage space and computation time.
