摘要

The performance of liquid ammonia absorption machines operating under marginal conditions, e.g., powered by solar or waste heat, was assessed. Computerized simulation shows that single-stage machines perform better than two-stage machines. Experimental comparison of vertical tubular bubble absorbers and film absorbers shows that the heat transfer coefficient of the former can exceed that the latter by a factor of two or more. Bubble absorbers can be two times smaller than film ones. Bubble absorbers enable operation nearer to equilibrium conditions than film absorbers. Absorber height should be limited to 1m.
