摘要

A wind tunnel test procedure to determine from the thrust minus drag measurements the aircraft drag and engine/airframe interference drag at cruise conditions is described. Engine thrust simulation is provided by a calibrated turbofan powered simulator (TPS). The use of a blown nacelle as propulsion simulator is described and compared with the simulation by a TPS. It is concluded that TPS engines are valuable test tools, simulating the aircraft engine closely, but the blown nacelle can not be totally replaced by the TPS nacelle.
