摘要

Towerless single and dual reflector antennas with 2.5 to 3.5 m circular aperture were studied for use on board medium-size geostationary communication satellites (up to 2 tons in transfer orbit) to be launched in Ariane 4 bottom position, SPELDA 10, on the basis of a typical future mission of trunk telephony and TV distribution in the 11/14 GHz range requiring multispot beam and various contour beams European area coverages. Beam forming networks, systems performance, and reconfiguration are discussed.
