Intermittency in Chaotic Systems and Renyi Entropies

摘要

It is shown that the Renyi entropies characterize the temporal intermittency in chaotic systems and are linked to a set of generalized Lyapunov exponents related to the time fluctuations of the responses to slight perturbations on the trajectory. It is indicated how a simple extension of a numerical algorithm proposed by Grassberger and Procaccia (1983) allows to compute these entropies from a signal.
