摘要

A numerical model for the prediction of gas-droplet flow was improved. The solver is based on the coupled solution of the transport equations for the gas and droplet phases, in two dimensional and axisymmetric geometries, with finite difference techniques. Turbulence is modeled with a transport equation for the eddy viscosity and a modification to the basic model is introduced to take into account the effect of the droplets. The solver is applied to the prediction of air droplet flow in the inlet region of a cooling tower. Good agreement is found with small scale tests and full scale measurements.
