Prediction of Turbulent Flow over a Backward-Facing Step

The characteristics of the flow over a backward-facing step were predicted by the k-epsilon model of turbulence. The predicted velocities and the turbulent kinetic energy were compared with measurements. In addition to the standard k-epsilon model, a correction term taking into account the effect of rotation of the mean flow was used.
