摘要

An analysis method of organizing spectral line intensity ratio fluctuations for different elements was used with inductively coupled plasmas, mounted end-on and side-on. Linear graphs are obtained for various iron lines when the spectral line ratio fluctuations are plotted versus the photon energies of these lines at different salt concentrations. Similar linear relationships are obtained from different elements when the spectral line ratio fluctuations are plotted versus the photon energies and the ionization energies of these lines. When these fluctuations are plotted versus the upper level energies instead of the conventional intensity equation, no linear structure is obtained. This analysis method was improved mathematically by using absolute differentials. The analyses were carried out by using a computerized image dissector echelle spectrometer system.
