Circle maps with two critical points and which have a fixed point are studied using symbolic dynamics. It is shown that the dynamics of such a map is almost determined by the orbits of the critical points. For one parameter families of the set (f mu) mu is a member of (0,1) where only f0 and f1 are known, the dynamics of f mu for intermediate values of mu is discussed.
