The electroforming of metals under practical and electrochemical points of view is examined. The basic study of electrochemical principles provides a greater understanding of the metal electrodeposition phenomena. The parameters of this process and the related materials are correlated with the mechanical and electrical properties, and with the microstructural characteristics of electrodeposits. A special treatment is given to copper electroformation from acid copper sulfate baths.
