Model Helicopter Rotor Rig and Associated Strain Gauge Balance for Performance Studies

The details of a teetering rotor model and the associated strain gage balance and calibration fixtures have been presented. Hovering results for a 1.22-m diameter teetering rotor model evaluated experimentally have been compared with the simple blade element momentum theory.
