TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT OF THE FREE ATMOSPHERE TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THE RECOMBINATION OF ATOMS

In this article, the problem of measuring the temperature in the free atmosphere at altitudes above 100 km is considered when taking into account the recombination phenomenon. The possibility of measuring the temperature of the principal components of the atmosphere by means of mass spectrometers is also considered. The problems associated with measuring temperatures with manometers are treated. In the case of the temperature measurement of atomic components, the possibility of excluding the recombination characteristics of the instrument and its calibration parameters from the final measurement results is shown.
