CHEMICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AFFECTING OZONE CONCENTRATION IN THE LOWER TROPOSPHERE

摘要

The fourth year of a routine atmospheric measurement program at the University of North Carolina and the Research Triangle has been completed. As part of the project, field studies have been made in the Southern Appalachian Mountains and in the North Atlantic Ocean off North Carolina. In addition, a study was made on Pike's Peak, Colorado for the U. S. Army by personnel from the Research Triangle and the University of North Carolina, the results of which have pertinence for the study of ozone behavior in the boundary layer of the atmosphere. Supporting laboratory experimentation was performed at the University of North Carolina.
