AN EXTENSION OF APT FOR PRODUCING INPUT DATA FOR A FOUR-AXIS FILAMENT WINDER POSTPROCESSOR (UNION CARBIDE APT FILAMENT-WINDING PRE-POSTPROCESSOR - UCAFIP)

Fortran computer routines, which compute a geodesic path on an arbitrary surface of revolution and determine the machine feed-eye positions, have been incorporat¬ed into the APT system. The output of these routines is a cutter location tape which is processed by an APT postprocessor to produce a punched tape for a four-axis numerically controlled filament winding machine.
