The report provides an example of the use of the digital computer for on-line data acquisition and equipment control, examples of some of the problems of interfacing a rather complicated experiment to the computer, and examples of some of the ways in which improved experimental results may be anticipated by use of the computer. The calorimetric research to which the computer is being applied is being supported by The Atomic Energy Commission.
