Injection Molding of a Photographic Film Canister

The design and fabrication techniques used for injection molding of a photographic film canister for production are presented. The cylindrical canister required exceptional impact strength, light and water tightness, an integrally antistatic material, and a tight-locking, reusable lid that could be locked using a quarter turn. An antistatic grade of polypropylene resin was used.
