摘要

The study is directed at detecting the effects on human populations from occupational radiation received by atomic energy workers. Previous reports discussed in detail the project objectives, design and data abstracting procedures. All personnel and radiation exposure data available at Hanford and Oak Ridge are now on magnetic tape, as are most of the other environmental and job identification data. Deaths among the 35,000 employees and 25,000 sibling control population for Hanford have been identified and death certificates obtained to enable analyses by cause of death. Deaths among the Oak Ridge employees have been reported by SSA and most death certificates giving cause of death have been obtained; coding and taping is in process. An independent statistical review has been initiated.
