Longitudinal Coupling Impedance of a Double-Step Cross Section Change in the Vacuum Chamber

The coupling impedance of a double-step cross section change in the vacuum chamber of an accelerator or storage ring is computed in first approximation. The character of the coupling impedance in the various frequency domains, that is low-frequency, above cut-off frequency of the vacuum chamber, and at resonances is discussed. (ERA citation 03:053342)
