摘要

Preliminary experiments were conducted using an instrumented hammer on mock billets to determine energy levels input to billets in the machining situation. Observed peak forces and impulses are compared to those observed in two other known initiating mechanisms and are found to be of the same order of magnitude. (ERA citation 04:048920)
