IEA Programme to Develop and Test Solar Heating and Cooling Systems. Task III: Performance Testing of Solar Collectors. Annual Progress Report

The objective of Task III is to develop and utilize standard test procedures in order to rate the performance of a broad class of collectors for use in solar heating and cooling applications. Participants undertake the following subtasks to accomplish this objective: (1) Application of existing standard test procedures to determine thermal performance, (2) Development of reliability and durability test procedures, (3) Determination of the role of solar simulators, and (4) Participation in task expert meetings. Progress in the Task III round robin collector testing has been hampered by delays in collector procurement, but some significant results have already been achieved. (ERA citation 04:015781)
