Method for Semi-Automatic Software Documentation

摘要

Documenting large software systems raises nasty problems. Programers and system designers are typically under pressure to develop and maintain software rather than document what they have done. Furthermore, once the software is operational, there is little challenge to the programer to document it. The subject of this paper is a method (and supporting software) that was developed to reduce the documenting drudgery of the system designer and programer while providing reasonable and timely documentation at all levels. The method was employed in the development of systems based on both RSX and DOS. 6 figures. (ERA citation 03:054193)
