摘要

This paper describes and evaluates a linear programming approach developed for ERDA for estimating the purchase of new peaking/inter-mediate electric generation technologies. Included in the presenta¬tion are a formulation of the linear program, a description of the software developed and utilized, the results of test runs, and an evaluation of the accuracy and speed of the technique along with its potential for inclusion in a full market penetration model.
