摘要

The feasibility of utilizing pressurized bed coal combustion for the generation of electricity is presently being considered by several industrial organizations. At present, only atmospheric units of large scale are available, and little is known with respect to the effect of pressure on the flow characteristics within the bed. It is for this reason that the research an NYU is directed o the basic understanding of the fluid mechanics within a pressurized bed specifically with regard to maximizing heat transfer.
