Angular Distributions in the Lepton Pair Production

摘要

The angular distributions of high mass lepton pairs are reviewed. It is argued that the detailed study of polar distributions provide the evidence for the substantial contributions to the Drell-Yan process from the higher order QCD effects. It is also pointed out that the first order QCD Compton diagrams predict nontrivial azimuthal dependence which could be measured experimentally. 13 references. (ERA citation 05:009424)
