The SRC-11 process can convert coal into a product spectrum ranging from boiler fuel to pipeline quality gas. Depending on the exact process configuration and which portion of the product is used as plant fuel, a 30,000 ton per day commercial SRC-II plant could produce from 50 to 200 billion Btu per day of pipeline quality gas. This would represent from 18 to 15 billion cubic feet (BCF) per year of natural gas supply.nThe original plan for the demonstration facility being proposed called for location of the plant in reasonable proximity to the operations of Consolidated Natural Gas Company (CNG). The SRC-II Demonstration Plant would process about 6,700 tons of coal per stream day.
