Under LETC Purchase Order //PL 82391 for the U.S. Department of Energy, Science Applications, Inc. has completed Phase I of the development and application of a Permit Information System for Shale Oil (PERMISSO). The objectives of Phase I were to:n1. Compile and evaluate pertinent oil shale permitting data, and organize these data into a meaningful and logical manual information system.n2. Evaluate the benefits obtainable from a planned Phase II effort, which would comprise automation, validation, and use of a permit information system.
