Self-Similar Solutions for Implosion and Reflection of Strong and Weak Shocks in a Plasma

We present an improved approximation scheme for finding approximate solutions in analytic form to the self-similar equations of gas dynamics. The method gives better agreement with exact results not only for the weak shocks which were considered previously but also for strong shocks for which the previous method gave poor results.
