摘要

J-integral fracture mechanics tests of four steels were performed with a computer-interactive unloading compliance test procedure. The objective of the experiments was to evaluate the effects of compact specimen geometry on the J sub I-R curve. Side-groove depth and crack length ratios were investigated with IT compact specimens of HY-130; ASTM A533-B (HSST-02); ASTM A516, Grade 70; and HY-80. An investigation of thickness/ligament ratios over a broad range was conducted with 2T plan compact specimens using ASTM A533-B (HSST-03) plate. Tests of A533-B and A516, Grade 70 steels were performed at 149C, while the HY steels were tested at room temperature.
