Analytical methods for the determination of Fe, Al, Mn, Ca, Ni, Na, Sr, Cs, Ti, and Ba in simulated sludges and Synroc formulations are discussed. These are the elements that may be completed by atomic absorption spectroscopy, AAS. AAS methods are complicated by the dissolution methods used. These problems are discussed. In addition, the method used for the determination of Fe exp +2 to Fe exp +3 ratio is presented. (ERA citation 07:004847)
