Gas and Oil Production Wastewater Disposal Alternatives for the San Juan Basin. Final Report

摘要

Oil and gas production in the San Juan Basin of New Mexico yields small quantities of water contaminated with salts, metals and hydrocarbons. The study compared alternative costs for lined pond evaporation, double walled tank evaporation, gas fired evaporation, deep well injection and various treatment methods. A hand held calculator program was written to predict evaporation from lined ponds. Data for pond design for the San Juan Basin was prepared. (ERA citation 10:029782)
