摘要

This report discusses a number of magnetic field errors for extreme ultraviolet free electron lasers. Longitudinal coherence phase is one important parameter. For long undulators, beam wander is the important criterion; for segmented undulators with short segments, longitudinal coherence is the important criterion. An effective way to control files errors is shown to be segmentation of the undulator. Sample calculations are given. 10 refs., 13 figs., 1 tab. (ERA citation 12:048208)
