摘要

The goal of this research program was to develop and validate theoretical and numerical models of microwave penetration and coupling for complex structures. These structures can have complicated apertures, internal compartments, and internal wires or multiconductor cable bundles.nThe basic methodology is the difference time-domain {FD-TD) technique, developed under previous Air Force funding, and multi-conductor coupling analyses based upon the integral equation approach. During Year 1 of this program, progress was made in developing FD-TD models of electro¬magnetic wave penetration through narrow slots in shields having appreciable thickness.
