The purpose of this research is to understand the structural and compositional changes of an iron silicate catalyst as a function of preparation and processing conditions. The relationship between synthesis conditions and the inter-particle and intra-particle compositional variations are determined; structural changes resulting from thermal and hydrothermal treatments are studied.
