Non-response Assessment of a Web-based Navy Quick Poll

Quick Polls were developed to obtain attitudes and opinions of U.S. Navy personnel in a shorter time period than traditional mailed surveys using a new contact method and a web-based survey available for only a week. Given the new contact and administration method, a non-response survey was sent to all people in the original sample to determine if there were any differences between responders and non-responders. Specific issues addressed include determining if attitude and opinion or personality trait differences exist. Additionally, the non-response survey investigated respondent perceptions of the Quick Poll administration procedures. Results indicate little difference between responders and non-responders on these factors.
