REPAIRS TO CONCRETE ROAD SURFACES

This report describes the laying during August 1954 of trial patches of ordinary Portland cement mortars, with and without the addition of polyvinyl acetate. These mortars were brushed on to existing surfaces, some of which were very rough where the coarse aggregate was exposed. This report describes the procedure adopted and gives the proportions of the various materials used, together with their cost per square yard, and the performance of the patches for the first two months.
