STRATOSPHERIC WIND TEMPERATURE AND ISOBARIC HEIGHT CONDITIONS DURING THE IGY PERIOD PART II

摘要

The stratospheric wind, temperature and isobaric height con-ditions of the Northern Hemisphere during the period from January to June 1958 are analyzed in detail. Three month seasonal averages of these quan-tities and of the correlations between them are computed and presented in the form of hemispheric maps. Zonal averages of various important quantities are also given in tables. A general discussion of the results from the viewpoint of energy and momentum is given briefly.
