This document is for the reader who wishes to "become familiar with the internal workings of the One-Pass JOVIAL Compiler. It is meant to he a suppliment to the J-X.2 source language listing of the compiler. It is hoped that this document will answer some of the questions that a careful reading of that listing might raise.
