摘要

In order to measure the piston path in the gun tunnel barrel, a microwave technique was adopted. Because displacement is recorded continuously, this technique permits us to analyze the piston oscillation in detail. In this report the effects of various factors, especially of open barrel end on the piston oscillation are described. As to initial piston track, the experimental results are compared with the theoretical piston trajectory.
