THE WORKABILITY AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF CONCRETE MADE WITH SEA WATER

摘要

It is shown that using sea water in place of tap water does not affect the workability of concrete but does improve the compressive strength at all ages up to 4 years. The period of curing required to reach a particular strength may be reduced to less than one-half of that required for concrete made with tap water. The strength of concrete made with sea water is affected less detrimentally by curing in dry air.
